Stylish Saturdays with The Fashion Lotus

Hello Everyone!! Today I'm sharing a photography post with you guys! A couple of weeks ago I went to a local fashion event to blog. Stylish Saturdays is the name of the event. Rejeana Warren of CoCo Productions is the woman behind it all. Sometime last year, Rejeana asked me to be a designer for the show. Unfortunately, I couldn't participate in the show at the time. So, I attended the event as a blogger. Jeanelly Concepcion of The Fashion Lotus was another fashion blogger to attend the event besides myself.

I was very familiar with Jeanelly because she's been mentioned on Style Lush TV many times. Before the event started, the both of us were just chilling with nothing much to do. So, Jeanelly suggested that we both take style pictures of each other. The weather was perfect for pictures. So, I have pictures I snapped of Jeanelly below. Jeanelly and I had many things in common. It surprised me because it's so hard for me to talk about blogger things with people. We connected so much just because of our fashion blogging passion. I found that too awesome.

I hope you guys enjoy these photos and this post! Check out Jeanelly's post with the pictures I took of her. http://www.thefashionlotus.com/2015/01/rocker-chic.html?m=1 Have a wonderful night everyone!! I'll be talking to you soon again.

Asymmetrical Copper Wire Flower Crown

In October, I was asked by a makeup artist to design a headpiece for a photo shoot. I created a headpiece based off of a designer's dress design. I met up with the designer and we talked about his vision of the piece. He showed me an inspiration picture from designer Simone Rocha. It was a very popular picture that I've seen before. Simone did these cool wire crowns in her Fall/Winter 2011 Collection. He wanted me to do a headpiece design inspired from that collection.  I've done wire crowns before but this crown was more structured than I'm use to. I was up for the challenge. Also, he had this idea of lining the flowers around asymmetrical. I loved the idea.

I tried to take the important parts from what he told me to create something beautiful. It literally took me awhile to figure out exactly how I was going to do it. The idea didn't come to me until last minute. The shoot was suppose to be in November but was pushed further into December. So, I was super relieved to found out I had more time to create. Once I finished, I thought the design was pretty good for my first try. I'm still determined to try out the curving of the wire on my own.

Karma Sutton from Divine Goddess Artistry did the makeup look for my headpiece. Lexi Murzea of Lexi Murzea Portrait took the professional pictures for this collaboration. I absolutely love how the photos came out. It's something different from what I've done before. I hope to improve on creating headpieces. There's so many things you can do. I just really want to do amazing things with this craft. So, expect more headpieces from me in the future!!

Later on, we will be having a full body photo shoot. So, you'll be seeing this crown around one more time again. The social links to everyone involved in this shoot is below. I hope you enjoyed this post! Have a great night! P.S. The flowers in the crown is painted by hand.

Behind The Scene Shoot with Divine Goddess Artistry & Lexi Murzea Portrait

Hello everyone, today I'm sharing behind the scene photos from a shoot I participated in back in December. The shoot was a collaboration with Divine Goddess Artistry and Lexi Murzea Portrait. Each model had two makeup looks. In this post, I'm only showing 3 of the makeup looks. One of the looks includes a headpiece handmade by myself. I will be sharing that tomorrow. I can't wait to share that post with you.

One of the first makeup looks was like a fun, vibrant look. I loved the use of color. It looked  really great on the model Tiffany. Tiffany's first makeup look was done by makeup artist Tanya Valdez. Ebony Everette did the hair for all 4 makeup looks as well. Tanya also did another look on the other model Chelsey. She did this retro type of look. The style of the hair and makeup fit perfectly together and looked awesome on Chelsey.

The last makeup look for Tiffany was more of a darker look. It looked right around like a space alien theme because of the rhinestones and purple eye shadow. Also, the black lipstick gave it more of that vibe as well. Tiffany's last makeup look was done by makeup artist Karma Sutton. Karma does amazing makeup work. She did some really cool makeup for me back in March 2014.  I would like to say that I like how Ebony used each hair look to alternate into the next. I think that was very genius. I've worked with makeup team before. They always put their best foot forward.

The photographer, Lexi Murzea , is a very talented creative. I definitely recommend that you guys check her out. You can check out the finished products of the shoot through everyone's social media. I'm putting their social media information below so you guys can check them out. I hope you enjoyed reading today's post. Have a great evening!!

ZachupurBowTy 1 Yr. Anniversary Giveaway Feat. Bobby Raffin

Hello everyone, I'm starting off the new year with a giveaway!! For a few months, I've been trying to decide what I was going to giveaway and when I was going to do it. New Year's Day seemed like the perfect time to do it. ZachupurBowTy is 1 year old today. I started posting on this blog a few months before January but I thought it'd be nice to begin the New Year celebrating my blog. My first year of blogging has definitely been a learning process. This year I hope to take that knowledge to make this blog grow. It's pretty challenging for a new fashion blogger these days. My main goal is to do a lot more post throughout the year, especially outfit post. Also, I'm trying to approach this blog with more of my creative soul. I really want to show you guys the amazing ideas I get in my head. I'm really working on trying to take ZachupurBowTy to a whole new level. I'm grateful for the support I've gotten from people last year on here and my other social links. 2014 was pretty great to me. I hope 2015 is even better. So cheers to the New Year and ZachupurBowTy!!

Okay, I'm giving away this DIY Feathered Headband. I took this whole DIY from Bobby Raffin and put my own little twist on it. I took some red feathers and dyed them a wine color. It kind of gave the feathers a darker highlight tone. The flowers and headband detail is hand painted. Also, I sewed in the flowers to these two gold leather pieces I cut out that's attached both sides on the headband. Bobby published this DIY on his blog sometime in April last year. Also, his DIY was published on Lookbook.nu Editorial Blog the same day. I'll put the link below just in case you guys liked to try making one yourself.

Daniel Hinojos SS 2015 Collection

Hello everyone, today's post will be the last of the year. Daniel Hinojos is the last fashion designer I'm featuring from The Fashion Seam show. Daniel's whole collection was dedicated to his grandfather with cancer. I believe he said that his grandfather was born in the 20s and his collection was inspired by that time. I thought the whole idea behind Daniel's collection was incredibly generous and unique. All the girls looked chic and classy with a mix of flirty. There was some minor problems with some of the blouse openings with some models but it happens. Daniel did more looks than anyone and great ones at that. He won a few awards at the show as well. If you're interested in Daniel's collection, you can email him at Dhinojos86@yahoo.com.

I hope you everyone enjoyed reading this post. It was nice sharing my pictures and thoughts with you guys. I had a fun time being at The Fashion Seam show. I thought all you guys would enjoy seeing what was showcased. Happy New Years Eve!! I have a surprise for all my followers tomorrow. I can't wait to see how you guys like it. Until then, have a great day and be safe tonight while celebrating tonight!
