Kalliope Kids - Bohemian Feather Lace Crown

The Bohemian Feather Lace Crown. Hello World, I have yet another headpiece to share with you. This crown is the last design piece from my job with Kalliope Kids. I saved the best for last. This is the crown that got me the job! I came up with this crown originally for a dress I reconstructed. The original design is completely different from this one but very similar. I think I'll finally get to show you guys that outfit sometime soon. The remake I made for Kalliope Kids came out better than my original. I just played with my ideas for the first one.

Look at how confident this little girl looks! I only hope to grow as much as I can creatively. I feel so blessed to have opportunities like this one. I'm glad I had the chance to share my summer work with you guys. Who knew I'd be making headpieces?! I'm excited for my future as a student, designer and blogger. Kalliope Kids - Flower Branch Crown

Hello World, today's post is all about the second to last headpiece I handmade for Kalliope Kids. The construction for this design was inspired by the inspirational pictures I received for the job. I modified this crown completely different from the original. The inspiration crown was all metal. So I just came up with an idea using the materials I already had. I admire this headpiece because I feel it expresses my creativity more. These last two headpieces I made were more of my own originals. The creation for this crown was two ideas mixed into one.

The setting for this part of the photo shot was so beautiful. I absolutely adore the swing with the flowers and leaves attached. The swing goes so great with the crown. The colors in her outfit makes everything pop out too. This little girl looks too adorable. I don't think they could've picked a better model. I was told that the little girl didn't favor my crown all that much. I found it awesome that she didn't show it in the pictures. Lol, I feared it would happen but the designers and myself were happy with the crown. I'll be featuring my last headpiece tomorrow. Kalliope Kids - Pastel Feather Headpiece

Pastel Feather Headpiece. Today's post will be about the fourth headpiece that I did for Kalliope Kids. This headpiece took a little bit more time to do than the other three. It was my first time constructing something like this. Painting the feathers was my favorite part. I loved the colors that I was assigned to use. I didn't paint the feathers entirely. I divided the feathers in half and then I divided those halves into the four colors I was painting with. As you can see, I painted some at the tip and the others about three fourths of the whole feather.

I enjoyed seeing this little girl in my headpiece. She's different from all the others because her outfit matches the headpiece. Kalliope Kids gave me some of their lace trim to use for my headpieces. The Mint Green Lace in these pictures were one of them. It just makes my heart warm to see this little girl happy. I was told that she really loved wearing it! That's totally a ego-buster for me. The social links for Kalliope Kids and Monica Roberts Photography is below. Have a great day everyone!!

Kalliope Kids - Tall Feather Lace Crown

Today's post is about headpiece number three that I handmade for Kalliope Kids. This headpiece was among the simplest and most dramatic pieces. I personally love the lace I used. It's such a beautiful and elegant lace. The feather boutique was very interesting to me. It made this piece look very high fashion.

I thought this little girl looked so cute in my headpiece. Honestly, I think all the kids who wore my designs looked cute. The styling of the headpiece with Kalliope Kids clothing mixed very well. The setting and background for these pictures were great. The designers added a fabric flower to the crown to balance out this piece. The horses in the background was my favorite about these pictures. The social links for both Kalliope Kids and Monica Roberts Photography is below! Hope you guys enjoyed my headpiece and this post!!

Kalliope Kids - Flower Crown

Today's post is about another headpiece I made for Kalliope Kids in June. I made a simple flower crown for the little girls photo shoot. This piece was one the quickest things to finish. I had fun in the process of making it. It was my first time actually making a flower crown like this one. I thought the flowers were beautiful. These flowers were the perfect colors for Spring/Summer. It felt so different designing for little kids because their measurements are smaller. They're a lot more innocent and playful. So I had to envision how these kids would look and feel in my handmade work. I also had to keep in mind what my customer wanted.

The little girl who wore my flower crown looked so cute. It made me proud to see her wearing it! I loved seeing what I made for Kalliope Kids on the kid models. I also love the backgrounds they used. Unfortunately, I didn't make it to the photo shoots. The photos were taken out in Ingram, Texas at one of the CEO's childhood home. Wish I could've been there. This photo was taken by Monica Reynolds of Monica Roberts Photography. The links for Monica Roberts Photography and Kalliope Kids are below. Hope everyone is having a great day!! :)

Kalliope Kids - Boys Wire Crown & Branch Scepter

This June, I did a design job for Kalliope Kids. Kalliope Kids is a high end children's clothing brand founded here in San Antonio. It was the highlight of my summer because I didn't expect it at all. This design job was so much fun for me. One of the CEOs of the company discovered me at a fashion show I participated in March. I exchanged information with her and the rest became history.

At the beginning of June, she emailed me some inspirational pictures. She wanted me to do six headpieces and a prop for the upcoming Kalliope Kids photo shoot. I thought they were really cute and I couldn't wait to design them. That weekend, we went shopping for the materials. I had about a week and a couple of days to complete the designs. The whole process was a learning experience for me. I'm actually proud of myself for the job I did. So today, I'm sharing one the first two things I did for the company. I made a wire crown and a branch scepter for the boys.

I took some pictures of my own because I wanted to document my process. This will look great on my portfolio for school. I also wanted to share it with you all for my blog. It took me awhile to share and post the stuff I did because I was waiting on pictures. I thought it would be cool to share pictures of the kids in my creations too. These cute photos below were taken by Monica Reynolds of Monica Roberts Photography. Doesn't he look cute?!
